- shower, dry hair, apply makeup, cut nails and get dressed :)

- sweep the floors
- bake chicken (to use for fajitas later)
- make homemade applesauce (thanks, Laurie, for the apples!)
- wash grapes and veggies
- warm up & enjoy turkey soup (thanks, again, Laurie!)
- catch some local news on TV
- strip bed and throw into wash
- empty garbages
- check mail
- check e-mail (Yay! Alli was married!)
- pump milk (moo...)
- dump baby's bathwater all down my jeans
- receive package at the door - Uncle Ed & Aunt Carol sent Grady an outfit!
- make daycare arrangements, finally (I've been in denial)
For me, as a first time mom, these were major accomplishments to do all in a row! Some folks have asked me if I'm bored at home. Not at all. I'm loving it! It's so much nicer to do what you need to do during the day and not squeezing it in in the morning, afternoon or weekends only. And, of course, I love being here for Grady. He makes me so happy. The daycare provider I've chosen only does Monday through Thursday, so I'm hoping to work that out at work. It will be great knowing I have another whole day with him.
I kept that list on Tuesday. Grady has now taken to sleeping 3 to 4 hours every day about 2 hours after we get up in the morning. I didn't need to add "nap" to the list because our nights are much more predictable, and dare I say it, easier. It may seem like all I talk about is sleeping, but it's just so wonderful to really be seeing some patterns here at 8 weeks!
A side note: We do follow the "Back to Sleep" rule. The picture above was not taken during said long nap. I was sitting with him. Folks of previous generation have asked about putting him down on his belly. I know they were told something else, and I trust their baby advice (clearly our moms did a great job with us), but I'm sticking with the new knowledge when it comes to sleep. He's getting daily "tummy-time" for strength, and doing pretty good at turning his head, but, he gets annoyed really quick. Guess it's hard work.

aahhhh...I remember those days. You are amazing to get all that done...My "baby" is almost 4 and I am having a hard time getting my stuff done!!! Do you have some special kind of energy pill??? You could probably make some good money selling that!!!
