This Makes Me Happy...

All my boys, sleeping on a Sunday afternoon. Matt started guiding 2 weeks ago, but he's home now for a week, and we're all loving it.

Ah, sleep...it's starting to come back to me. Grady is now feeding every 2 - 3 hours in the day and every 3 - 4 hours after bedtime. This just started this past week. It's a far cry better than when he was feeding every 2 hours, and when I was checking on him every little noise he made. I'm getting used to his different sounds, and learning that he sometimes lets out a good little cry just before falling asleep. He's decided that around suppertime is when he wants to start fussing and crying. The best thing to soothe him seems to be walking him around. Yesterday, I had to walk him around in the yard. If I came inside, he'd start again, so back outside I went.

He's sleeping more during the day - maybe due to the slowing down of visitors, but he still has lots of company. Mom & Laurie have been so helpful. When Matt's been gone, it's been nice to have someone watch Grady while I get groceries (or to drop food off to us) or to help with things around the house.

I have taken him out a few times and that has helped me feel like myself again. For the first 3 weeks, the only place I went was to his doctor's appointments. I finally brought him to my office and the girls swarmed him. We weighed him there - 10 lbs. at 4 weeks.

He's getting chubby. I remember thinking he was such a skinny little thing when we first brought him home. Now, he has cheeks and fat thighs. He's so adorable. We thought he looked like Matt's brother when he was first born, and now we think he looks like Armond. We're all wondering what color his eyes will end up being and whether or not he'll keep the dark hair. I'm guessing he'll end up being a red-head or blonde afterall because his eyebrows and lashes are a light red and his eyes have lightened to a gray-blue. I love his lips and all his facial expressions.
