With 4 weeks to my due date, I was told last week that I was 2 cm and 100% effaced and his head was "right there!" So, the fire was lit under me to get busy on all the loose ends at work. I'm feeling good in the home department and the "ready-as-I'll-ever-be" prepared for labor & delivery department, it's just that I want to make it through this week at the least to feel ready to leave work. That said, I'd better knock on wood.
Today, I went back to the doc and I'm at 3 cm. So, the work has started and I'm just getting some Braxton Hicks now and then. I feel like a walking time-bomb. I just wish I knew when it was going to happen! Will it really be within this week?
The fear I had about delivery has been replaced by curiosity and excitement. I just can't wait to see him, hold him, smell him & kiss him! While it feels like I'm just waiting and waiting, time has really flown by since I first found out...and I know it's just going to go faster.
I'm sorry for not sending my thanks out sooner to thank folks for the shower gifts! Please know how very grateful I am for your thoughtfulness and sharing in our joy! I had a beautiful shower with friends & family on Aug. 9...

On the 13th, the girls at work threw another awesome shower!
Laundry was the theme - complete with the chocolate-bar/diaper game, but I'll spare you those photos!
Hopefully when I post again, I'll be sharing photos of our little man!

i am so excited for you two....we can't wait to see baby either!! time is the tricky part of pregnancy. it blows by sometimes and nearly stands still other times!! glad you had a good baby shower, i wish so bad that we could have made it! we love you. keep us updated....it will be here before you know it!!
