Parties & Shopping

Some of the fun women I work with!

And my very fun parents!!

We attended Lil & George's 40th wedding anniversary party a few weeks back. Her parents were the last ones dancing on the floor in the dance where DJ eliminates couples by number of years married...they were at 65 years and she was pushing him in his wheelchair. It was very sweet.

Wow - if that were Matt & I, we'd be pushing 100!!

Speaking of parties - I'm right back in the home-party circuit. I hosted a Lia Sophia jewelry party at home last night, this weekend I'm going to a Stampin' Up crop and then next weekend Mom is hosting a candle party at Charlotte's house. I love these things...but I keep telling myself - why do I keep putting off my own opportunties to host or present at a party for Avon or Once Upon a Family?

Parties and shopping - - that's apparently what I do when Matt's away! Mom & I joined my mom-in-law and her sisters and neices on an overnight shopping trip last weekend. Drove 3.5 hours to shop at a mall and spent most of the time in the 2-story Target. Our town continues to fight over having a Wal-Mart...I'd be happy with K-Mart and happier with a Target!

The party was great. Matt's cousin is selling it, so I've been going to my fair share of shows...but is it worth hosting? DEFINITELY!! I had a relatively small party and ended up with $190 in free product. Then, I could choose 2 items at 50% off (I chose 1) and ANY 4 items at $15 or $20. I chose just one, but it was originally $110 and I got it for $20! It's very pretty stuff...even if I do love my Avon "costume" jewelry!
