Berries & Cream Pie

I experimented yesterday to make a berry, berry pie.

Bake ready-made 9" deep dish crust.

Combine about 4 tbsp. flour, 3 scoops sugar, pinch nutmeg & cinnamon, added to 1 bag fresh frozen mixed berries (blackb, raspb, strawb, blueb), about 4 tbsp. lemon juice. Mash and cooked over med.high

Cream together 1 pkg. neufchatel (sp?) cheese with a few scoops of sugar and a tsp. almond extract.

Let everything cool. Layer cream-cheese first, then top with berry mixture. Chill.

I sliced a few rectangles and a circle out of puff pastry and baked them, then topped the pie laying them out like a sun. Very Yummy! Matt liked it heated up, too.

I am loving that you put recipes on here! They sound awesome! Ofcourse how could anything with fresh berries and cream bases not be delicious... I like the tip from the blueberry pie to sprinkle crust with powdered sugar, I've never heard that but love a good tip :)
