Sweet Dreams

I've been reading to Grady every day since we brought him home.
My favorite books to read at bedtime right now are:

"The Going to Bed Book" by Sandra Boyton
and "I Love You Because You're You" by Liza Baker

Grady sits and stares at the pictures and sometimes follows the page as I turn.

I've been trying to stay on a bedtime routine and he had been going to bed around 7 and I'd hit the pillow an hour or two later. Last couple nights, he's been up later, but the sleeping pattern has been better. The other night I got 8 hours of sleep (between 9 pm and 9 am) - the most sleep through the night I've gotten in 7 weeks. And last night was almost as good. We're up for about an hour to nurse and change and he goes back to sleep in my arms before I put him down. I'm trying to get him to go down when he's drowsy and not to fall asleep in my arms. It works during the day. Still, I'm grateful that he is settling into somewhat of a routine. For now at least.

Oh I loooove the Sandra Boynton books. They're all so great and The Going to Bed Book is still one of Gideon's faves. What a good momma to read every night!
