"Is Matt gone again?"
This is a question I've been fielding almost as much as, "So, no baby yet?" Whoever said there is no such thing as a stupid question...OK, so I'm not trying to sound annoyed. I'm reminded of that customer service video when the guy says, "don't hold it against the person - they don't know that 5 people just asked you that same question this morning."
I just have to laugh when people ask if Matt is hunting "this weekend."
"Actually, he's working (work that he just happens to love - lucky) and it's more like this fall and winter." Oh yea, and, "We're having fun trying and, no, I don't need you to draw me a diagram."
A surprise over-night visit a couple weeks ago, a planned evening home Thursday, home to get the boat and a quick dinner tonight. This is how we roll. I fell in love, and am in love, with him for his hard-working determined, entrepeneurial spirit and his confidence and trust (to name a few attributes.) Some of the ladies I work with say, "Oh, you poor thing." Unnecessary pity. I'm with the girls who say, "Oh, that sounds nice, actually." Yes, less groceries, less dishes, more covers!
Of course, I miss him when he's away, but that's what leads to that fun little giddiness I get when my husband calls to say he's 'coming over' or just to say, "I love you."
