Dog Days of Summer

I'm such a scatterbrain at work. My priorities to tackle this week: finishing touches on our walk-a-thon coming on the 24th, planning our next public access tv show, designing a new 12-page client handbook, coordinating a special supplement in the paper, designing recruitment ads, producing our staff newsletter, and all the administrative tasks and other things to stay on top of. Ugh...I'm tired. So, I reflect here on the past weekend, which was full of sunshine and relaxing!

The cement was poured for our new patio/driveway Saturday morning, so since Matt had to keep it wet all day, we stayed close to home. Michael, Theresa and Carly dropped in around 3:00 and before you know it, it was 8:00 and there were rib-eyes and potatoes on the grill. It was fun to visit all afternoon.

Sunday, we finally hit the lake again. We took a short ride in the afternoon, stopping at what I consider one of the prettiest spots on the lake. Sailor had a chance to do some retrieves. Then we hit another little shore and I had a chance to sit in the water.

"King of the world!" He gets all four legs up there, sometimes. Makes me nervous, but he's been doing it since he was a puppy.

I love playing with the macro zoom, so I stalked this poor butterfly all over the yard.
